ACE

Q. What changed in the current ACE exam guide?
A. The five sections were consolidated into four. "Planning and configuring" merged with "deploying and implementing" into a single 30% planning-and-implementing section, operations grew from 20% to 30%, and configuring and viewing audit logs moved from access-and-security into monitoring and logging. Product names changed too: Cloud Functions is now Cloud Run functions, and Stackdriver / the Cloud Operations suite is now Google Cloud Observability. App Engine, Cloud Deployment Manager and Cloud Run for Anthos are no longer in scope.
Q. Is ACE beginner-friendly?
A. Yes, but success depends on service-selection reasoning rather than memorizing product names. It is a hands-on exam that asks about gcloud and kubectl commands and real configuration steps, so build practical familiarity with IAM, VPC boundaries and operations tooling.
Q. Are real ACE exam questions available anywhere?
A. No. Google does not release live exam questions, and so-called "real exam dumps" are usually unsourced and written against the retired five-section blueprint, which makes them actively misleading. Our items are original practice questions and mock exams built from the official exam guide and kept current with the revision and the renamed products.
Q. Can I pass without hands-on experience?
A. Yes, with a consistent solving framework: requirements → constraints → candidate services → elimination logic. Building the resources yourself in Cloud Shell closes most of the remaining gap.
Q. What mock score is considered stable?
A. Google does not publish a passing score, so there is no official threshold. As a working guide, if your last 3 mocks stay around 75–80%+ with fewer repeated IAM, network and operations mistakes, you are usually in a strong readiness range.
Q. What causes the most misses?
A. Service-boundary confusion and over-broad IAM permissions are common. Recurring traps include assuming budget alerts stop spending, that VPC peering is transitive, that an inherited role can be revoked lower down, that a subnet range can be shrunk, and that Data Access audit logs are on by default.
